And fortunately, due to the rise of veganism, the vegan cookbooks have experienced a rise, too. There’s such a diverse range of books available, from one-pot creations to veganized international dishes - so let’s dive right in!

People sometimes get the impression that veganism is expensive, but it doesn't have to be. Plants are among the cheapest ingredients that you can purchase. Just because you're a busy University student, that doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to have the privilege of joining in with Veganuary. I'm sure that you know of many easy meals that are already vegan, for example, beans on toast, tomato soup, and stir-fried rice.

Don't go thinking that it's difficult to get protein on a vegan diet, because it's not! If you're consuming enough calories, then you're consuming enough protein, too. It's unnecessary to keep track of your protein intake unless you're trying to build significant muscle mass. If this is the case, then there are vegan cookbooks to advise you along the way. A diet high in plant-based protein will likely contain lots of beans, some seitan, and high-protein vegetables.
